Bader Braves at Haverfordwest in 2014. –
Following the success of the 2013 Bader Braves event, the foundation returns to Haverfordwest Airport next weekend (20th September). The foundation saw a great response from local based pilots plus some from away in 2013, who made the journey to Haverfordwest Airport to support children with limb loss and other physical disabilities by offering unique experiences and improving life-skills to increase confidence.
As with 2013, we covered the day in pictures and reported on local movements whilst visitors kept on rolling up at the Airport to recieve their goody bag and take a seat in the vast range of light aircraft that were available to take up those who were booked to fly.
The day was a great success and there was an extremely good buzz amongst those both lucky enough to fly and those parents and carers who attended and watched the children take to the skies and enjoy a flight on a glorious June afternoon in Pembrokeshire.
The 2014 Bader Braves event was originally scheduled for June of this year but was postponed and moved to the coming weekend and weather permitting once more, it should take place.
If you’re interested in aircraft movements or are a local enthusiast, it’s also a great chance to photograph many movements and a good range of aircraft that come from all round to partake in the event itself and attend the airport as an aviation fly-in.
There will be live movements on the day via Twitter – @EGFE #baderbraves14. If you’re on social media, follow the hashtag to keep up to date.
