RAF Sea King Diver Rescue

A diver that drifted 6 miles off the coast at Skomer Island started a large recue operation with the R.A.F search and rescue helicopter and the local coastguard on Friday (4th) afternoon after Miford Haven coastguard recieved a distress call. After a 3 hour search that was aided by vessesls in the area that were heard the distress call and helped tasked to the area by Milford Coastguard, the diver was recovered from the sea by a SaR Sea King helicopter from the R.A.F.
Bob Peel watch manager at Milford Haven Coastguard said “Thankfully the diver was located and recovered without any ill-effects.”
